posi...it could be a bad ground....but it sounds like you are correct.  id borrow a volt meter or buy a cheaper one and chech the circuit.  or just simply fall the wiring as best as possible.

I'd have to dig for it, but I think I have one you can borrow. Where do you live? where can me meet for me to drop it off if I can find it? (I'll dig for it tonight after work and reply back if I can find it.)
i will just go buy the damn thing lol  I just hate tracing wiring.  My cj had issues left and right so i just took a complete harness and changed the entire thing when I built it.  I never figured out my fuel guage in the cj for this reason.  I just HATE wiring.  But thanks BlackKnight! I am from Spencer, MA by the way Wink

Gonna take the cherokee to go camping with the boy scouts this weekend down to Bourne so I will bring the tester and see if one of the troop kids from Bay Path wants to teach BigD a thing or two. Smiley

I jumped the fAm and it works perfectly fine. Though. About just hot wiring to its own switch
If he hot wired the switch to the motor and it ran the ground is good this is why I didn’t include the ground as an option.

HF = Harbor Freight

There is no need to buy them at HF they give them away free with purchase of any item.

The 4 I have work as the should they even come with batteries.

Edit: I have 2 high quality meters for my shop
