had my side wall repaired...
« on: January 01, 2016, 01:26:11 PM »
took it to Sullivan tire in Shrewsbury to have it vulcanized, they give it back with the bead way too far in, wtf. asked them to leave the weights and just mark the tire so i didnrt have to balance it, they took the weights off, wtf. can't wait to hear what they say when I bring it back to them. will the bead be too streched to go back to normal?

Yikes.  That's something else.   My guess is it will fit on the headlock again once you take it off

wow, amateur hour. Im my experience tires do NOT stretch. so i wouldn't worry about that happening. BUT I would not have them assemble the bead lock. I would ask them to remove the outer bead and give it back to you to assemble the ring yourself.  that way you can properly inspect the bead because tires do TEAR and rip when the wrong person is trying to install them on the wrong size rim etc.
balance? whats that?

I make my own coffee most of the time, or I go to a local place called the village bean. anyway, took it back, the guy said he thought it wasn't right but the kid doing it said "thats how it was". wtf lol they re-did it, came out and said "it looks the same, how should it be?" , I went and looked and told them it just sits on it, not in it. they finally got it right and rolled it out to me, then I asked about the balance, and they forgot so back it went. lol all set now.  holy crap, how does this world run. lol

The village bean is in Chepachet. tire machine someday. BB balance if they didn't, but they did it.
