You need a heater to heat up the biodiesel so that it becomes thinner. So you start your car up on regular diesel and then switch it over to biodiesel once it warms up.

Move to florida.   No mods needed and problem solved.

I might be mistaken, but isnt biodiesel not straight vegtable oil?  I know that there is some chemistry involved with biodiesel.  You need to heat the vegtable oil so it thins out and doesnt clog the fuel lines.

Even with regular diesel, the tractors at work have a very hard time starting at 30*.  However, this is without glow plugs.

bio is not waste oil, well it is but it is a different process.  you can run bio straight into your tank, nothing else needed.  if you want to run waste oil you need to pre-heat the oil and run it through a strainer then you can plumb it into your trucks fuel system.  it is a pita to run waste oil.  bio is already strained and it is mixed with lye and methane to bring it back up to snuff (so to speak)
