Yeah ok so I wrote chip instead of programmer Roll Eyes

I took the ts out about a 2 years ago, run a smarty jr now

Just over 160k miles on my 05'. It's been ok I guess, lots of little issues that are a pita. Ball joints, unit bearings, tie rods, blend door (HVAC), exhaust (same thing happened to mine axle) biggest thing was my motor let go at 68k also took out my trans (split the case) but this was replaced under warranty,  injectors went, 4 so far ( not cheap $600 ea) wheel studs (dodge only part, wtf is that ? )  my seats suck, not comfortable need new seat bottom (common issue on a 3rd gen)  it's got lts of creeks and rattles now (what truck doesn't ?)

All in all it's a fine truck, I use it though. Everyday it's driven onto job sites, not paved roads or driveways usually. I tow just about very other day with it. From loads of lumber to equipment I own ( from 5 to 10k ). I don't know if any other truck would be doing better for me at this point.

I am a firm believer that all trucks suck just some suck more than others at any one time! I have owned them all, furd, gmc and dodge and they all break and have weak points.

my seat sucks too, the usual ball joint front end issues, but it works hard with 190,000 on it now. rebuilt the tranny 10,000 ago. but still, best vehicle ive owned. plan on driving it a long time

Big difference  Grin

I hear that  Wink

140K on mine, bought in new in 05'. Never touched it until the warranty was out. (Which was a waste, never had an issue with it) I bought the thing to tow my buggy and then, life changes. No longer needing the buggy in Floriduh, due to the lack of rocks, the 05' has got the undivided attention. Sled Pulling was my new motorsport of choice. At 85K the stock tranny was out and in went the Sun Coast built. Gone was the stock exhaust, in was the 5" turbo back. Smarty educated my truck and started sled pulling with it. Setup was done on the truck and had some pretty nice success. Seats fine, belt and tensioner replaced at 107K, 110K was ball joints. Recently just changed the left hub, but she's a little different now. This past winter I upped the game and the 05' is now in the 2.6 sled pulling class. This past weekend I just blew the rear and a front stub shaft. Still gotta open it up and see what I did. And I still drive it on the road. Great truck and no whinny complaints.
