The other thing I'll add about it right behind the seats is with a roof on its very hard to fill and I know you are wanting to keep it somewhat streetable

Got my seats in and door liners cut to fit. I'm thinking of just skinning the door int with aluminum.
Windshield on with new hinges

Quart crate and fuel cell mounted

Even messed around with the welder today

Little bit of body filler and it'll be fine...
Gotta get it back to the shop to address the brakes and belly pan before F&F in Oct
What's everybody using for brake set ups on their 1 ton rigs?
Current set up is a corvette MC on a cj booster. Brakes are ok, but if it ever sees the road I would like them to have better feel. My old rig had a YJ booster and a dodge 2500 MC. It felt a bit better, but still not great...
Ideas?

I use the stock master/booster.  Not real powerful, but I've never felt out of control with them.

I believe I have stock booster and 2500 master but I'm not 100% positive since I didn't build it

On my jeep, i have a stock YJ booster with an 86 Ford E350 master, little grinding on the mounting ears to clear the booster, different fittings flared on to the lines and adjusted plunger rod but otherwise bolted right on and would lock up my tires with ease and great pedal feel.  the master needed more volume to move the larger piston on the chevy 1/2 ton front and eldorado rear calipers.

Trans cooler mounted

Having my junk at work has been really helpful. I've been able to knock out a bunch of small projects during lunchtime...
Time to make room for the boats though...

Do these plate coolers need to be mounted a certain way? My old rig had the fittings on the side, In thru the top fitting Out thru the bottom.
Currently I have it with the fittings on the bottom. If the fittings need to be on the side the cooler will have to get mounted next to the fuel cell (less air flow)

Cooler mounting is critical!  You never want to mount the cooler so both fittings are pointing down.  Its easy for air to get trapped in the top.  Either mount the cooler so the fittings are up, or sideways.  If sideways, always have the supply line enter from the bottom.  That way all the air will be pushed up and through the system.

Final resting place...
Fittings on top, kicked out the bottom to take advantage of a nice hole in the floor.
