new to me 1978 cj-5
« on: December 20, 2011, 06:14:03 PM »
Picked it up , with a little help from chuck, last week. One owner cj-5, came complete with the original paperwork from hassan bros jeep dealership.  The body needs a tlc, but everything else looks to be in good shape. It sat in a garage for the last 13 years. Hope to get it going for the spring.

Thanks jay, for now I just plan on putting a new gas tank in it and getting her running. I plan to do a little body work just to fix a cple soft spots. I will keep the original color , and just putt it around as is. I do see leaf springs and some 33" skinnys in the future.

258/T-150/D20

If you have the same rims on your 2a they are not period correct but if I recall you have front disc so you can't use stock rims.

However, if you do have front drums and your looking for stock rims I have 4 extra.

I don't mind them, I was planning to paint them, possibly to match the body and run the skinnys on em.
