A friend of a friend from Pa is looking at it. He's just hoping for a little more info on the rig and seller before he makes the drive...
Thanks!

I am regrettably posting my Jeep Comanche for sale. This has been a project of mine starting in 2013, but with school, work, finances, I just have not gotten the chance to finish it. And with a little work left to go on it, I have really just run out of steam.

Jeep started as a 4.0 AW4 auto with an NP231 t-case with a D30/D35. Since then I have swapped it to an external slave AX-15 and a twin sticked Dana 300 transfer case utilizing a Novak adapter. The front axle is a HP Kingpin Ford Dana 60 and the rear is a 14B FF from a chevy.

Drive train:
4.0 engine forget the mileage around 170K I think
AX15 5 speed external slave from a 97 Cherokee with full pedal box swap
Dana 300 transfer case that is twin sticked and flipped. JB custom fab twin cable shifters and a Novak adapter
Brand new drive shafts front and back - double cardan front shaft

Front Axle:
High Pinion Kingpin Ford Dana 60
5.38 gears, open diff
Warn Hubs
SOLID diff cover
New U-joints
Cherokee 3" coil springs
Needs front shocks
Installed with a Ballistic Fab 3 link kit with heims on all joints, panhard bar, coil lock mounts, ect

Rear Axle:
14 Bolt full floater
5.38 gears, open diff (was going to weld)
SOLID diff cover
Factory Comanche leafs - super soft and flexy

Brakes/Wheels/Tires/Steering:
Ford one ton disc/drum master cylinder with a gutted Cherokee bias valve
All new lines
Front disc has all new brake components with long break lines
Drums rear with a long center hose
38.5 SX tires on 16.5 steel wheels. 2 good tread, 2 low, 1 brand new spare. Buy 1 more new and have a good tread set
Dodge Durango steering box with new lines
Inner mount frame stiffner

Chassis:
Front section frame stiffners
Frame stiffners all the way to the back
Custom cross-member ties in, with all 3 link mounts incorporated
Bushwacker Flares
Steel armor on bed

I built this jeep to be a low center of gravity rock crawler. The suspension is set up very well nice and soft, the 3 link is done professionally, and frame stiffeners go from front to back. It runs, drives, and stops, all lights work, heat works, but need some work to make it a finished rig. I'm sure I am forgetting TONS of things, just ask me any questions you have.

What does it need?
It needs some simple things done like bleed the brakes more, bleed the clutch more, needs a pair of front shocks, a 2nd cooling fan wired in. What it really needs is the transfer case looked at. I modified the Dana 300 so you can engage the front axle independently. This is done by modifying the shift shaft. I may have done this incorrectly because when you engage the front axle, it seems to bind in the t-case. The jeep will come with an unmodified Dana 300 which you can install and still use the twin stick set up.

Title - PLEASE READ
I have the title for this Jeep from the previous owner. I signed it in 2013 when I bought it but have not put the title in my name. I went to get the title in my name about a week ago, but with sales tax based on a "Classic Car" value, and tax penalties from not registering immediately in 2013, the MASSDOT wants to rip off nearly $700 from me. I realize some people may not want to ever make this street legal, or are from RI or NH where a title is not required. IF YOU DO NOT need the title, I am asking $4000 FIRM. IF YOU DO WANT the title, I am asking $4500 FIRM and will get the title after a deposit is made to me. I have all the paperwork from the registry to prove all this to the prospective buyer. To prove the amount I would need to pay, and to prove that it is all that is needed to be done to get a new title. Once the fee is paid a title will be issued to me and I will sign and deliver directly to you.

$4000 FIRM without the title and $4500 FIRM with the title. Absolutely NO TRADES. Please call or text me at show contact info for more details or any questions.

I've never seen that one before but tell your friend beware. reading through that add i have to laugh. I like how he says the suspension was "proffesionally set up"
One look at the pictures in the add and that front suspension looks like a mess and a headache. check out those front springs, you can even see where they rub the frame rails in the pictures. Tells me that either he got the panhard length a mile off, the mounts are welded in the wrong spot,  the axle is off center or all of the above. professionally set up.
There is your first red flag.

I'm kinda with tony, the front coil mounts on the axle must be 5" inward on both sides... Not very "proffessional"

But, depending on the price, probably has some good parts to start with

Also, with a really short Track bar with a different angle than the tie rod, that thing must bump steer like a mofo

Yup! The guy noticed those "professional" touches too and passed on the rig...
Plenty of built rigs around Pa, not sure why he'd think about driving that far for that turd.

the problem with this "sport" is there are a lot of self proclaimed professionals. there aren't many actual professionals building buggies and off road specofic rigs in our area. got to go way west to find them.
