17" 8 lug wheel

I need one 17" 8 lug wheel for a spare on my buggy.  it doesn't need to be anything special, just not chrome and has to be round.  preferable something aftermarket with some offset so it will clear my shocks if I need to run it.

if you can't find used, try summit. i have a steelie from them that i bought new for my spare.  i forget what i paid for it but i couldn't find what i wanted used.

what offset you need? I have an alloy dodge wheel i welded a patch into after i lost a tie rod end and it punctured it. and what are you looking to pay?

I called Lou @ Elias when I was looking for spare for my F-350. He got me a decent steelie for the right price. I don't think the weight difference between a heavy duty alloy w/bead lock and all necessary hardware and a simple steel wheel should be too much of a concern.

offset/backspacing im thinking in the 4" range but don't really care...just don't think a 5" or more would fit without rubbing...

im not necessarily looking for a beadlock since its a spare and probably will never be run,  just looking for something to stuff in the tire so it is useable without having to break down another tire and rim combo

id like to spend less than 100...I can get a new steel rim for like 90

The white wagon wheels on summit are around $70, there is a free shipping code out there somewhere.

ive been looking and cant get a replacement for less than $150 range so i wouldnt be able to let it go for $100. sorry.
not sure if the AAM ales have same pattern anyways.
I would source one off ebay. and probably wouldn't go steel just for weight alone.

if the only time you will run the wheel is when you wreck a tire and then only for the rest of the run... i'd just get a steelie or something used that is cheaper.  everyone with big tires who trailers seems to leave the spare in the truck because they are so heavy regardless of what composition of the wheel. you can always weld on a beadlock to the spare wheel if that floats your boat.

That's the conclusion I have come too. Had to see if anybody had anything laying around first.
