Well that's your problem.  Without the shroud your fan is 1/2 as effective as it's supposed to be.

i agree (hence me noting it) but with the flex fan as soon as i get any RPM which would drag air the fan goes flat.    so yes it might help with my airflow at idle, but the 1500-2000rpm range i use on the trails it isnt pulling air either way.

Thanks for the offer, I do have an electric fan already that I had on my white zj before I replaced it with a clutch fan, the fan wasn't the problem though. Maybe I'll try it out on the slut. It's a flex-a-lite syclone that is rated at 2500 cfm

IMHO, many cooling issues I have observed and read about involve electric fans.  I do not feel that they can replace a mechanical fan.
