Looks great.. But I am trying to figure out why the hell there is still a bed on this thing, take it off and be done with it.  Or atleast cut the sides off and leave the floor and build some tube around it.
Dad always said "If it has boobs or spark plugs it will be fun AND will cause you problems."

i look the look of the bed..even if you tube it you could make some skins for the sides. just my opinion.

wow that's alot narrower than i pictured. i like it, shoul dbe able to sneak around thing and i bet you dumped 150-200lbs in that shot alone.
tim pick up some cheap SCH40 PIPE and run it from your roll bar down to the back of the bumper or to the frame. it will beef the crap out of the frame and really help when you roll. its PIPE yes, but its better than nothing. its going to be plenty strong to survive the next year of abuse till you can dube it.

Tim that looks awesome! and you did it soo fast! How did it wheel? Did you trim any more around the fender? Looks like the tire was pretty close.

Nice work, love reading your threads!

you should dovetail the rear when you 4 link it and tube it, would look awesome.  when you get an idea you just act on it, you mentioned the idea and less than a week later its done.

Thanks Mitch.  I will be trimming that metal today, when I get home from school.  I'll get more pics up for ya.

I love the idea of tubing the rear and skinning the sides with the bed sheet metal.  I'll have to look for an MJ in a junkyard that I can harvest the sides from.  I think mine are too bent.

I think the dented sides give it character, you can make em work.  theres a guy in my town with a blue mj, all stock in nice shape, gonna keep an eye on it to see if it goes up for sale, or stop him someday, seeing yours makes everyone want an mj

Nice!  I vote keep the tub and just plate the sides.  I have a buddy who did that to his.  Next time I'm over there I'll take a picture or 2 for you.

No, but I can if you want.  They're the Warn units.  I won't need any with my Spicer hubs.  You on the other hand....:finger:

Well I'm down to the crunch now.  I went to Lou's shop to pick up some 6* shims for my rear axle, and upon assembly I discover that my centering pins need to be replaced.

I've been working on the thing since I got home at 4:30.  I have 2 clip-on lights outside so I can see, BUT I'm almost done with cutting and welding.

I hope I make it.  :o
